Fields of Summer

Summer drips green,
stains the crisp cottony children
rushing in their impatient energy
to futures beyond

between the peeps of grass
and the shades of sun
how much longer
till they lose
their lithe little limbs
and frolicky eyes?
how much longer
till they forget the green?

(I took this photo yesterday evening(or was it night? – 9:30pm) in a neighborhood school yard, there were no real children there, except for us – two overgrown children(?) trying our hands at the forgotten art of childhood)

Your posts always appear on my radar, but lately I have been missing some others’ posts, wonder whether the problem is with LJ?

Bu ha ha bu ha ha bu ha bu bu !!

Thanks for teaching me this – feels nice at the end of a tiring day 🙂

The size of the list should be considered along with the prolificity of the members – with guys like me (‘once a weekers’), you could perhaps have 200, with others, even 50 might drive you nuts :-p

And now i shall have to bid you goodnight, and sweet dreams.

    “gosh, you are creative!”

what a wonderful photo and poem…

I think it certainly seems that you have not “forgotten the green”

found you via the great … I find your eye and style of writing very cool…. mind if I ‘stick around’?

…. unfortunately don’t get to post too often…

and I’ll second the “like the kind of stuff I like” thing as well…
(and reading your books list got me to pick up and start rereading the Alchemist… 🙂

btw (if this is too personal then please ignore) what brings you all the way out to Alaska, and is it a permanent move?… from the pics I’ll suspect that you enjoy the scenery… how’s the rest of life there?
