Some Really Orange Mushrooms

Though they look deceptively similar(blame the species), the mushrooms in all the three pictures were photographed at different locations on the Anchorage trail system.
(ze Boy was sleeping inside the bike-trailer when I took this picture. This summer we finally took back the outdoors lost to pregnancy and subsequent child-rearing. The li’l dude is an outdoors fiend, he has no idea of 20 hours of darkness which is waiting for him around the corner, yet!)

Fabulous photos of the Fly Agaric mushrooms! A friend told me we have some at Creamers Field and your photos have encouraged me to go in search of them!
I wish they had those bike trailers when my kids were little!

The first snap somehow reminded me of Tintin’s ‘The Shooting Star’. 🙂
